Dolores farmers’ groups receive marketing assistance from DA-4A

Pinagdanlayan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) and Pinagdanlayan Rural Improvement Club Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PRICMPC) received grant assistance from the Department of Agriculture Region IV-CALABARZON (DA-4A) under the enhanced KADIWA Inclusive Food Supply Chain Program, on April 16.

The said program aims to provide marketing assistance to farmers in ensuring that the food commodities are made available and accessible through capacity enhancement of their cooperatives and associations.

The awarding of the intervention was led by DA-4A OIC-Regional Executive Director Vilma M. DImaculangan and Quezon Provincial Governor Danilo E. Suarez.

PMPC received one unit of aluminum van worth P1.9-M to be used in the activities of the group like attending trade fairs and enhanced KADIWA-related activities.

Meanwhile, DA-4A granted PRICMPC P1,250,000 that was divided into two tranches. The first tranche worth P871,500 was allotted for the procurement of the delivery van, while the second tranche worth P378,500 was allotted for the procurement of agricultural equipment and working capital.

“Napakalaking tulong nito [grant assistance] sa amin. Dahil dito ay nacha-challenge kami na mas mag-produce pa ng products,” said PMPC Chairman Apolonio de Rosales. #### (Reina Beatriz P. Peralta, DA-4A RAFIS)
