A month after planting the vegetable seeds, about 4 kilograms of pechay and mustasa were harvested and then distributed among the employees of the research station.

“Another batch of seedlings will be transplanted on the vacated lots for the continuity of the urban gardening activities of the station,” LARES Officer-In-Charge-Superintendent Ms. Cynthia Leycano said.

For more information on urban gardening (i.e., request for vegetable seedlings), please contact your city/municipal agriculture office or the Agricultural Program Coordinating Office of your province.
