Pinasinayaan ang ipinagkaloob ng Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Plant Industry na Mushroom Enterprise Development Project sa Nasugbu, Batangas para sa Wounded Soldiers Agriculture Cooperative (WSAC) noong ika-12 ng Oktubre.

Pinangunahan ito nina Cabinet Secretary Hon. Karlo Alexei B. Nograles, Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” T. Go, Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) Director George Y. Culaste, Department of Agriculture (DA) Agri-Industrialization and Fisheries Undersecretary Cheryl Marie N. Caballero, DA IV-CALABARZON (DA-4A) OIC-Regional Executive Director Vilma M. Dimaculangan, Department of National Defense Assistant Secretary for Human Resource Antonio L. Bautista, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Jose Faustino, Jr., at WSAC Chairperson 1st Lt. Jerome J. Jacuba.

“It is an initiative for income generation and livelihood of the cooperative and the nearby communities. It will also impact the community’s women and unemployed young adults through activities related to mushroom production,” ayon kay BPI Director Culaste.

“We want to affirm our commitment to the sustainability and effective implementation of this project and encourage everyone to engage in similar activities for the benefit of the community para makamtan natin ang masaganang ani at mataas na kita,” mensahe naman ni DA Secretary William D. Dar na ibinahagi ni DA Usec. Caballero.

“On behalf of WSAC, we are extending our heartfelt gratitude to DA for providing not only equipment, farm commodities, but most of all, hope for our soldiers; that they can still engage in agriculture despite their disabilities. All of these will serve as vehicles for the success of our cooperative, as well as a venue for rehabilitation and improvement in collaboration with our dependents. Our commitment to the DA’s livelihood project is similar to the pledge we made to our country to protect the people and the country,” ani WSAC Chairperson 1st Lt. Jacuba.

Abelardo R. Bragas; Field Operations Division Chief Engr. Redelliza A. Gruezo; Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division Chief Maria Ella Cecilia B. Obligado; Lipa Agricultural Research and Experiment Station (LARES) Chief Cynthia D.
