A total of 30 participants from different divisions, sections, research stations, and other offices of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office IV-CALABARZON attended the three (3)-day training on basic news writing and photography last June 26 – 28, 2019 at STIARC Training Hall in Lipa City, Batangas.
The program started with welcoming remarks of Mr. Fidel L. Libao, Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer (APCO) of Batangas; followed by the talk of Mr. Radel F. Llagas of Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (RAFIS) about the gist and objective of the training.
Ms. Patria T. Bulanhagui, RAFIS Chief, tackled some important notes on how to write a concise and clear news article, and guided the participants through group activities about news writing. Mr. Julius Bryan G. Arcilla, RAFIS staff, lectured on the meat of basic photography and provided activities to develop the skills of participants in capturing photos attached for news articles.
Certificates were given to participants as they actively participated and successfully completed the training.
RAFIS which was the overall in-charge of the successful activity aims to develop and broaden the capacity of participants in news writing and their photography skill. With that, participants committed to help in promoting their programs and services offered, and write news for any events and activities conducted by their respective offices. ●
