IN PHOTOS: To intensify the information dissemination on important memorandum circulars issued by the Department of Agriculture (DA) and advisory from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for an unhampered and unimpeded movement of agricultural products and inputs, and uninterrupted farming and fishing activities, the DA Region IV-CALABARZON thru its Agricultural Program Coordinating Office (APCO) in Cavite is visiting checkpoints around the province.

This is in response to the plight of small farmers and fisherfolk in the province who cannot pass the checkpoints or their movement to deliver agricultural products and/or inputs or farming/fishing activity has been restricted.

โ€œWe give copies of DA Memorandum Circular Numbers 7 and 9 and DILG Advisory to checkpoint personnel and explain it to them carefully,โ€ Ms. Eda Dimapilis of APCO Cavite said.

According to Ms. Dimapilis, most of the checkpoints they visited on March 26, 2020 were not yet informed of the memorandum circulars and advisory that is why they will continue making rounds to ensure that said issuances are properly disseminated down to the checkpoints, especially in the barangay level. โ— (RFL, DA-RAFIS)
