Department of Agriculture (DA) Region IV-CALABARZON, through its Corn Program, awarded bags of hybrid glutinous corn seeds to local government units (LGUs) of Alfonso, Cavite and Calamba City, Laguna in July 2020. This is part of DA’s objective to increase the production of quality corn, thereby improving the quality of life of farmers.
The regional office awarded LGU-Alfonso 40 kilograms of hybrid white glutinous corn seed on July 2, 2020. Meanwhile, LGU-Calamba received 100 kilograms of hybrid glutinous corn seed on July 10, 2020. • (MAP, DA-RAFIS)
