The Department of Agriculture IV-CALABARZON (DA-4A), led by OIC-Regional Executive Director Vilma Dimaculangan, turned over a check of P1.7-M to Sentrong Pamilihan ng Produktong Agrikultura sa Quezon Foundation, Inc. (SPPAQFI), on May 4.
The said amount is intended for procurement of a truck van that will be used to deliver their crop vegetables from farm to market. They were also set to receive P800,000 to purchase a weighing scale, vacuum sealer, pallets and crates, and tent that will be used in participating in the KADIWA programs.
“Nagpapasalamat po kami sa DA-4A dahil napakalaking tulong po ng naibigay sa aming halaga. Mas marami pa pong matutulungang magsasaka dahil dito. Umasa po kayo na ima-maximize po namin ang paggamit sa halagang inyong naibigay,” SPPAQFI Administrator Carlo Cena expressed his gratitude.
The P2.5-M financial grant is through the Enhanced KADIWA Inclusive Food Supply Chain Program that is funded under the Bayanihan II Act, which aims to ensure food availability and accessibility during the period of pandemic and beyond. #### (Reina Beatriz P. Peralta, DA-4A RAFIS)
