60 livestock farmers undertook training on animal management spearheaded by the Livestock Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA) Region IV CALABARZON on November 14-15, 2017 at Southern Tagalog Integrated Agricultural Research Center (STIARC), Brgy. Maraouy, Lipa City, Batangas.
The training is in preparation for the establishment of sustainable native pigs and goat multiplier farms in several strategic areas in CALABARZON as one of the priority projects of DA under Livestock Program .

These livestock farmers are the qualified recipients of several livestock interventions of the regional office.

According to Vilma M. Dimaculangan, Regional Livestock Program Coordinator, the training aims to equip the recipients with technical know-how and skills on animal management and to provide strategic solutions for possible problems that may arise during the implementation of the said project.
