Lipa Agricultural Research and Experiment Station (LARES) offers cassava grates for P40 per kilogram, with a shelf life of up to two years. These are available at the Technology Commercialization Building.

The grates can be used to make various cassava recipes such as pichi-pichi, cake, chips, suman, and many others that could be sold during the enhanced community quarantine period.

Even during this difficult time, LARES remains productive in processing cassava tubers into grates. After harvesting, station staff peel, wash, and grate the tubers. They then weigh and pack them into plastic containers, and keep them frozen.

For those who want to purchase grates and for further inquiries, kindly visit the station at Brgy. Maraouy, Lipa City, Batangas, or call Ms. Cynthia DT. Leycano at (0919) 874 3378 or Ms. Marlene Marave at (0947) 261 0528. Grates are available until supplies last at first-come, first-served basis. โ— (JAAJ, DA-RAFIS)
