With an end view of more efficient and effective information and communication management, the Department of Agriculture Region IV-CALABARZON is set to adapt and utilize the Document Tracking System (DTS) developed by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – Fisheries Information Management Center (BFAR-FIMC).

DTS is an information system capable of tracking the paper trail of documents created within offices. The DTS includes information on the originating and receiving office and personnel, as well as the time elapsed between offices/units/divisions. In this information system, document attachments, revisions, updates, and remarks are also supported.

Prior to realization of DTS for DA CALABARZON, orientations, consultations, and trainings will be needed to smoothly implement the said system.

On this note, the Management Information System spearheaded a consultative workshop with the division chiefs and section heads of DA CALABARZON on June 4, 2019 in Pasay City.

The said consultation aims to solicit relevant inputs from the participants on how to smoothly implement the modified DTS which is suitable to the regional office’s needs.

Regional Director Arnel V. de Mesa reminded the participants that although the DTS will greatly help the information/communication management of the regional office, nevertheless it is still a tool and its success depend on them to fully utilize the same. • RFL, DA-RAFIS
