This is part of the Taal Recovery and Rehabilitation Program by the Department of Agriculture (DA) Region IV-CALABARZON.

A total of 60 native goat heads (12 modules) and 50 carabao heads (10 modules) were handed over to farmer-beneficiaries in Balete.

Municipal Mayor of Balete Hon. Wilson Maralit expressed appreciation for the efforts DA CALABARZON has made to help the farmers in their municipality. He said, “This is a great way to continue our farmers’ livelihoods affected by Taal eruption, and particularly this time of the pandemic.”

Ms. Vilma M. Dimaculangan, Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Research and Regulations, and Livestock Program Coordinator; and her team facilitated the simultaneous distribution of livestock interventions in the said municipalities.

“DA CALABARZON will continue to provide agricultural support not only to the farmers affected by Taal eruption but also to all farmers in the region as well as to the programs available…We hope that this DA CALABARZON assistance will be used to develop your livelihood,” ARD Dimaculangan said. • (MAP, DA-RAFIS)
