Department of Agriculture (DA) Region IV-CALABARZON, through its Rice Program, has provided the Samahan ng Nagkakaisang Magsasaka in Brgy. Sta Ines, Tanay, Rizal with a floating tiller on July 8, 2020.
The recipients of the farm equipment expressed their sincere gratitude to the regional office, especially to Regional Director Arnel V. de Mesa, and Assistant Regional Director for Operations and Rice Program Coordinator Dennis R. Arpia, for their unwavering support especially during this pandemic. They said that they will have a much easier time preparing their rice farm with this new floating tiller.
The farmers’ group also expressed appreciation to the Agricultural Program Coordinating Office in Rizal and the local government of Tanay through its municipal agriculture office.
The samahan has pledged to use the said intervention to further improve their livelihood and rice production. • (MAP, DA-RAFIS)
