The Department of Agriculture (DA) Region IV-CALABARZON awarded 10 egg incubators among selected farmers’ associations on May 26, 2020, during the Farmers’ and Fisherfolk’s Month celebration held at Lipa Agricultural Research and Experiment Station (LARES) in Batangas.
DA CALABARZON Regional Director Arnel de Mesa; Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Research and Regulations, and Regional Livestock Program Coordinator Vilma M. Dimaculangan; and ARD for Operations Dennis R. Arpia led the ceremonial turnover of the egg incubators.
Recognizing the unparalleled, continuous efforts of farmers and fisherfolk in ensuring access to quality and safe food, Director de Mesa said, “The egg incubators shall provide additional opportunities for poultry stakeholders in the region to further expand egg production and income.” • (SDAL, DA-RAFIS)
