Nakiisa ang Department of Agriculture Region IV-CALABARZON (DA-4A) sa Agricultural Training Institute CALABARZON sa pagsasagawa ng “Getting Started: Orientation on the Establishment of Province-led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Systems (PAFES)” noong ika-29 ng Marso, online.
Layunin ng aktibidad na ibahagi sa National Government Agencies; Provincial and Local Government Units; State, Universities, and Colleges; at Regional o Provincial Agricultural and Fishery Council ng rehiyon ang konsepto, implementasyon, at pakinabang ng programa.
Ang PAFES ay isa sa mga estratehiya ng ahensya na naglalayong paigtingin ang agricultural modernization at industrialization, rural livelihoods, at agro-based enterprises.
Ayon kay DA-4A OIC-Field Operations Chief Engr. Redelliza A. Gruezo, buo ang suporta ng ahensya sa anumang pangangailangan ng sektor upang mapalawig ang programa sa rehiyon.
Bahagi rin ng programa ang pagtalakay sa Rapid Appraisal Results: Presentation of Status of Extension Services of the Province of Batangas in Relation to the PAFES Program; Establishment of PAFES: Province of Batangas Experience; Presentatiom of PAFES Activities for FY 2022; Presentation of Approved Regional Technical Working Group and Regional PAFES Core Team; at Discussion of Agreements.
Inaasahan na sa darating na Abril ay magkakaroon ng parehong orentasyon sa probinsya ng Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, at Quezon.
