During this morning’s flag-raising ceremony, Director Dimaculangan praised all the women working in agriculture and fisheries. She expressed her utmost appreciation to the women behind the success of the agriculture sector in the region. “Sama-sama po nating ipagbunyi ang buwan ng kababaihan. Lagi nating tatandaan na tayo ay mga babae. Malalakas tayo at marami tayong kayang gawin,” Director Dimaculangan said.
As part of the celebration, the regional office, through its Gender and Development Program and the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division, set up KADIWA ni Ani at Kita and opened its doors to sell various agri-products made by women and a business mentoring kiosk to guide aspiring agri-entrepreneurs.
