IN PHOTOS: Department of Agriculture (DA) Region IV-CALABARZON meets with agricultural extension workers (AEWs) in Batangas to distribute the 3rd quarter incentive allowance for 2020, gives updates on some of the regional office’s ongoing programs, and reminds them of submitting data relative to the implementation of DA programs and activities, held at STIARC Training Hall in Lipa City, Batangas on January 14, 2021.
The objective of this quarterly incentive allowance is to recognize the services rendered by AEWs in the implementation of the DA programs. It covers their accommodation and travel expenses, thus improving the delivery of extension services while maintaining the standard of outputs they provide.
In exchange for this reward, the regional office has high hopes that AEWs will regularly report and provide accurate data on their areas of concern for better collection and dissemination of information and the implementation of various interventions for farmers and fisherfolk.
The meeting was attended by staff from the provincial agriculture office and city and municipal agriculturists in Batangas. DA CALABARZON has already distributed the 3rd quarter incentive allowance to AEWs in Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Quezon.
