Together with DA CALABARZON OIC-Regional Executive Director Vilma M. Dimaculangan and Batangas Province Vice-Governor Jose Antonio “Mark” Leviste II, Secretary Dar spearheaded the ribbon-cutting ceremony of this newly-built establishment that is aimed at monitoring and surveillance of African Swine Fever infections in the province through the use of PCR test kits and Nanogold test kits.
In a short but direct message, Secretary Dar said, “Let us rebuild the Batangas hog industry.”

Reyes, Agricultural Training Institute – International Training Center on Pig Husbandry Center Director and National Livestock Program Director Dr. Ruth Miclat-Sonaco, Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council Chairman Mr. Pedrito R. Kalaw, and Batangas Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Rommel Marasigan also witnessed the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
