Secretary Dar explained that this approach involves setting up safety-net measures, such as cash assistance, subsidized credit, and crop insurance, that will benefit farmers and fishers in need through DA’s “Plant, Plant, Plant” program.
Among the topics discussed during the ManCom meeting were Farm Clustering/Bayanihan Agri Clusters; Strengthened Partnership with Local Government Units through Province-led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension System; Agri-Industrial Business Corridors; Infrastructure Investments; Postharvest, Processing Logistics, and Marketing Support; Digital Agriculture; Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Measures; Mobilization and Empowerment of Partners; Global Trade, Export Development, and Promotion; Food Safety and Regulations; Ease of Doing Business and Transparent Procurement; and Strategic Communication Support.
