The start of distribution of the intervention today, May 1, 2020, is in accordance with the Department’s rehabilitation program for affected farmers of the Taal Volcano eruption that occurred in January 2020.
Assistant Regional Director for Research and Regulations, and Regional Livestock Program Coordinator Ms. Vilma M. Dimaculangan, together with Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer of Batangas Mr. Fidel L. Libao, Dr. Jerome G. Cuasay, Municipal Mayor Joan L. Amo, and Municipal Agriculturist Antonina Gardiola, led the said distribution.
About 16 other cities and municipalities in the province will also be provided with cattle, carabao, and goats that are scheduled for the next few days or weeks. ● (ARC, DA-RAFIS)
