IN PHOTOS: Observing physical distancing and other precautionary measures, and embracing the “new normal,” the DA CALABARZON Team, led by Regional Director Arnel V. de Mesa, meets with provincial, city, and municipal agriculturists in the region on May 5 – 12, 2020 to update and coordinate with them the current programs and interventions of the Department.
Director de Mesa gave his utmost gratitude for their continued support and cooperation, and unwavering efforts to help realize the Department’s vision of a food-secure Philippines with prosperous farmers and fisherfolk.
“Our farmers and fisherfolk, as frontliners, do not stop in producing and securing our food, and we owe it to them, as government servants in the Agri sector, to continually work and support them as much as we can,” Director de Mesa said.
The coordination meeting also served as a good venue to address some issues concerning the distribution or schedule of various interventions in the region for smooth implementation.
The meeting was held in Quezon, Laguna, and Batangas on May 5, 6, and 7 respectively, and will be held in Cavite and Rizal on May 8 and 12 respectively. ● (RFL, DA-RAFIS)
