APRIL 14, 2020, TIAONG, QUEZON – The Agricultural Program Coordinating Office in Quezon turns over a total of 2,405 cans of vegetable seeds to the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA).
Under the Plant, Plant, Plant Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA), the allocated seeds shall then be distributed to all cities and municipalities of the province through their respective city and municipal agriculturists or agricultural technicians.
It is expected that 35 areas in Quezon will benefit from this production support service of the High Value Crops Development Program of DA CALABARZON.
Pechay, mustasa, kangkong, and sitao were the seeds to be given in districts I, III, and IV.
All city and municipal agriculture office representatives are advised to claim the vegetable seeds allocated to them at OPA in Lucena City.
Please take note that the seed request is on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Priority is given to farmers’ groups that have an existing market for their produce to help ensure that food will be available, affordable, and accessible for the consumers. ● (JAPE, DA-RAFIS)
