With the aim of gathering and assessing the current status of the Department of Agriculture (DA) Region IV-CALABARZON in relation to Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and how to improve it through ICT solutions, the Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division-Management Information System (PMED-MIS) conducted the Workshop on ICT Budget Proposal for 2021 and Information Systems Strategic Plan (ISSP) for 2021 – 2023 on September 3 – 4, 2019 in Tagaytay City, Cavite.
Heads and staff/representatives of different divisions and offices of the DA CALABARZON actively participated in the activity.
Priority-setting in every division’s/office’s programs, projects, and services across different areas such as its implementation processes, critical management, problems encountered, and possible ICT solutions; and planning for development and investment program for 2021 – 2023 including supplies and materials, training and scholarship, repairs and maintenance, and property, machinery, equipment, and intangible outlays were the outputs of the groups. And these will be submitted to the DA-Information and Communications Technology Service (ICTS) and Medium-Term Information and Communications Technology Harmonization Initiative (MITHI).
With ISSP as an information system blueprint, the DA CALABARZON could deliver better services more efficiently to enhance its concerted efforts – to do the right things at the right time for the right results – to be faster, smarter, and to make it easier for its people to do their work for the benefit of its clientele. ● ARC, DA-RAFIS
