DA CALABARZON participates in the Open Data Platform Training

Two (2) PMED-MIS personnel participated during the workshop-training on Open Data Principles and Platform Training held on November 5, 2018 at Axiaa Hotel, West Avenue, Quezon City.

The training is conducted as part of the implementation of the Open Data Philippines (ODP) under the National Government Portal Project spearheaded by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). ODP, as one of the strategic initiatives of the Government of the Philippines towards transparent, accountable and participatory governance, provides a platform that allows its data sets to be searchable, understandable, and usable by everyone.

Uploading of open data by all government agencies (NGAs), State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Government-Owned and/or Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) and Government Financial Institutions (GFIs) will soon become mandatory as an Executive Order is underway according to Mr. Gideon Ponio of DICT. ###GeraldineTorio
