In observance of the Farmers’ and Fisherfolk’s Month, Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council (RAFC) Chairperson Pedrito R. Kalaw assumes the roles and tasks of Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office (RFO) IV-CALABARZON Regional Director Arnel V. de Mesa in the implementation and dissemination of key programs of the Department.
Mr. Kalaw is expected to act as the presiding officer during the regional office’s management committee meeting and deal with semi-policy determining activities but should not affect the government accounting rules and procedures as well as civil service rules and regulations governing regular government employees, as stated in the Memorandum Order dated March 27, 2017 signed by Secretary Emmanuel F. Piñol, designating RAFC Chairpersons as DA-RFO Directors for the month of May. •
