IN PHOTOS: DA CALABARZON distributes livestock animals to farmers affected by Taal volcano eruption in Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas on May 22, 2020.

A total of 65 heads of cattle and 60 heads of goat were distributed among the farmer-beneficiaries from the said municipality.

Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Research and Regulations and Regional Livestock Program Coordinator Ms. Vilma Mendoza Dimaculangan, ARD for Operations Mr. Dennis Arpia, and Batangas Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer Mr. Fidel Libao, in coordination with the local government of Mataas na Kahoy, facilitated the distribution of the interventions.

As one of the key interventions under the Taal Recovery and Rehabilitation Program, the distribution of livestock animals aims to provide long-term relief for the cities and municipalities of Batangas, Laguna, and Cavite which were severely affected by the volcanic eruption.
