Manicad, Jr., the Director for Strategies of Sari Project, organized a farmers’ forum entitled “Moving/Promoting Farmer’s Produce/Products” on January 11, 2021, at the APCO-Batangas grounds, Tanco Drive, in Brgy. Maraouy, Lipa City, Batangas.
APCO-Batangas Chief Mr. Fidel L. Libao and Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division Chief Ms. Editha M. Salvosa welcomed the participants and emphasized the important role of marketing in the agribusiness sector.
According to Mr. Manicad, the forum serves as a means of organizing food producers and avoiding the overproduction of crops through the Sari project’s support. The Sari project is a social enterprise artificial intelligence system that links food producers to a competitive market and its demands. The project will promote locally-produced goods not only locally but globally, he said.
The activity was joined by 33 high-value crops farmers, agri-preneurs, and city and municipal agricultural and fishery council members from Lipa City, Sto. Tomas City, Mataas na Kahoy, San Luis, Bauan, Malvar, Agoncillo, and Nasugbu, Batangas.
