The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office No. IV-CALABARZON conducted an indicative planning workshop on January 16-18, 2018 in Tagaytay City, Cavite. This is in preparation for the budget to be proposed for Fiscal Year 2020.
The activity was attended by the division chiefs, staff and banner program coordinators of the regional office.

In his message, Regional Director Arnel V. de Mesa emphasized the need to harmonize interventions to avoid redundancy and to ensure that projects given to beneficiaries are what they really need and requested.

Prior to the workshop, Redelliza Gruezo, as I-PLAN Component Head in PRDP RPCO IV-A, presented the Provincial Commodity Investment Plans of the region followed by the presentation of Agriculture and Fishery Modernization Plan by Maria Ella Cecilia Obligado, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division Chief.

Some of the big ticket projects (proposals greater than or equal to Php 5M) for 2020 are construction of farm-to-market roads and various post-harvest facilities, distribution of farm inputs, animal dispersal, and establishment of slaughterhouses, to name a few.

During the workshop proper, the participants were given a day to accomplish various forms such as BP 202, Form B, etc. All these to be consolidated and to come up with the 2020 budget proposal of DA CALABARZON.

On the last day, the divisions and banner programs were given time to present their respective 2018 highlights and plans and budget proposals for 2020.
