A whole day training on package of technology (POT) on cacao production in the province of Rizal was conducted on July 4, 2019 at MP-6 Training Hall of Ynares Sports Complex in Antipolo City.
The training aims to strengthen cacao production not only in Rizal province but in the whole region. It was through the initiative of the High Value Crops Development Program of the Department of Agriculture CALABARZON in coordination with the Agricultural Program Coordinating Office of Rizal headed by Ms. Maria S. Cribe.
Being one of the priority crops, the training hopes to equip the participants as to the ins and outs in cacao production particularly matters pertaining to insects and diseases attacking the plant.
Around 50 cacao farmers from Rizal province participated in the said one-day affair. • CDT, DA-RAFIS
