PHOTO RELEASE–Kapitan Loreto A. Basit or Ka Eto was chosen as the country’s Outstanding Large Animal Raiser for the recently concluded National Gawad Saka of the Department of Agriculture (DA).
He is one of the pillars of the PALCON Dairy Multipurpose Cooperative.
Through his leadership PALCON became the biggest supplier of fresh cow’s milk of KKMI (Katipunan ng Kooperatiba ng Maggagatas Inc.), the largest cooperative dairy processing plant in Southern Luzon.
Secretary for the Presidential Communications Operations Office Martin Andanar together with DA Secretary William D. Dar and Undersecretary Ariel T. Cayanan personally handed over their plaque of recognition, certificate and P 250,000.00 as cash award.
Also present to witness the awarding of Ka Eto were DA CALABARZON Regional Director Arnel V. de Mesa, Sariaya Mayor Marcelo P. Gayeta, Regional Gawad Saka Coordinator Patria T. Bulanhagui, Quezon Provincial Veterinary Office headed by Dr. Flomela Caguicla and Sariaya Municipal Agriculture Office headed by Enelita B. Villocillo.
