LOOK: Department of Agriculture (DA) Region IV-CALABARZON Regional Director Arnel V. de Mesa congratulates Southern Tagalog Integrated Agricultural Research Center Manager Ms. Digna P. Narvacan and researchers of Quezon Agricultural Research and Experiment Station, and posts for a photo opportunity with them as the Department’s coffee liqueur won the 2nd Best Product in the 15th Agriculture and Fisheries Technology Forum and Product Exhibition of the DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research held at its grounds in Diliman, Quezon City on August 14 – 16, 2019.

“The product has the distinctive primary flavor of Barako coffee, a variety of heirloom liberica coffee found in Batangas province. The aroma and taste is distinguished by a sweet, strong coffee, dark chocolate, hint of wood and vanilla with a round, honeyed finish. It is best served as a dessert wine and cocktails inspired by tropics,” explained Mr. Dennis DL. Bihis, project leader.

Aldio Coffee Liqueur was awarded with P4-million worth of research grant in recognition of its uniqueness and potential as a developed product. ● ARC, DA-RAFIS
