The search for the Annual Gawad Saka Outstanding Farmer/Fisherfolk validations is on.
A total of 18 categories are scheduled to be validated by their respective committee chairpersons and their members. Small and Large Animal Raisers from the province of Batangas were the first to be validated. Ms Vilma Dimaculangan, Regional Livestock Banner Program Coordinator and Committee Chairperson of Gawad Saka Livestock category together with her members trooped down the municipality of Agoncillo to personally validate the provincial entries of Batangas.
Validations for other categories are scheduled from May 15 onwards and to be submitted to the Regional secretariat by May 25 for packaging.
