The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office No. IV-CALABARZON conducted indicative planning workshop for 2019 in conjunction with 2017 annual review of accomplishment and 2018 presentation of work and financial plan on January 15-17, 2018 in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Assistant Regional Director for Operations Milo delos Reyes opened the program with a reminder that in all activities we plan and execute, we make it to a point that it is efficient, effective, economic, responsive and relevant. He also encouraged all divisions and units to continue strengthening ties with the local government units and ensure timely delivery of our services and projects to the farmers.

All divisions of DA CALABARZON, from Field Operations Division, Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), Research Division, Integrated Laboratory Division, Regulatory Division, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (PMED), to Administrative and Finance Division, presented their respective accomplishments for the year 2017 and 2018 work and financial plan.

The Regional Agriculture and Fishery Council (RAFC), as representative of the private sector, led by its Chairman Ped Kalaw, joined the deliberation of 2018 plans and gave some recommendations how to efficiently execute and monitor the same.
“We, at RAFC, will help in monitoring of the project implementation by being present, as much as possible, during the procurement process, delivery and occasional check up on the given interventions to the beneficiaries. Also, rest assured that all concerns of our farmers in the region will be brought-up by RAFC in meetings like this one,” said Kalaw.

A whole day workshop was conducted for the indicative planning for year 2019. The activity was spearheaded by the PMED led by Ella Obligado.
