Drone hands-on training, conducted

The four-day (February 6 – 9, 2018) hands-on training on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or commonly known as drones for selected employees of the Department of Agriculture Region IV CALABARZON was conducted at Southern Tagalog Integrated Agricultural Research Center (STIARC), Lipa City, Batangas.
Staff from Operations Division, Regional Agricultural Engineering Division (RAED), and Management Information System (MIS) of Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division (PMED) were trained to operate the drones which were procured for more efficient and effective site validation, crops stages, project monitoring, and post-calamity assessment.
Jore Montelibano of RADAR AERO RESOURCES (Robotics Aerial Data Acquisition Resources, Inc.) served as the trainer.
