The Search for Outstanding Seed Grower is spearheaded by Bureau of Plant Industry – National Seed Industry Council as the working arm which aims to provide award and due recognition to seed innovators with outstanding performance in line with plant breeding, varietal development, seed production, and plant nursery operation. It will also give incentives to outstanding seed innovators, to document the accomplishments of the innovators and their impact to seed industry and food security, and to provide motivation as a great model to other seed innovators.

There will be three outstanding seed growers coming from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to be recognized, according to Engr. Layola.
