The Department of Agriculture (DA) CALABARZON directors, division chiefs, station superintendents, program coordinators, project leaders, researchers, and staff who are involved in research and development (R&D) with regard to rice gathered together to discuss the allocation of funds under project support services (PSS) and R&D components of the Rice Program held at Lipa Agricultural Research and Experiment Station (LARES) on March 27, 2018.
This is to determine the progress and good organization of its programs and activities being implemented and afterwards find out whether the results of its disbursement are focused on achieving its deliverables and outputs.
The group therefore agreed to always monitor the status of all purchase requests (PRs) made under the said components to be able to comply with the Government Procurement Reform Act and to help fast-track the implementation of priority projects of the DA.
Various issues and concerns in conducting agricultural researches were also reviewed, ensuring that the results have greater economic impact to the farmers and fishers in the region.
