The Department of Agriculture Region IV-CALABARZON participated in the CALABARZON Migration and Development Forum on October 22, 2019 at Santa Rosa City Sports Complex, Santa Rosa, Laguna.
The event was spearheaded by the Regional Development Council chaired by the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) CALABARZON and was attended by retired overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and families of OFWs.
The said forum aims to entice the participants to invest their hard-earned money in cooperatives, and industries like agriculture in the region.
The DA CALABARZON, with other exhibitors, set-up a booth wherein various IEC materials in agriculture, investment opportunities, and DA programs were provided to participants. Staff from the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division and Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division of the regional office were present to entertain questions from the participants.
Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas of Santa Rosa City believes that every individual should learn not only how to save for their daily stipends but also to save to grow their wealth through investments. (RFL, DA-RAFIS)
